New York at Ottawa

Ottawa has not done a good job of taking care of home ice early this season. In their six home games, the Islanders have actually been outscored by their opponents on the young season. The Islanders have dropped five straight and certainly aren’t playing good hockey right now, but they are catching Ottawa in some very negative situations. Ottawa is 1-7 in their last eight following a win, and 7-19 in their last 26 playing on just a single day of rest. The Islanders will be desperate for a win here and I expect them to play with a lot of energy off of five straight losses and a loss of 5 goals their last time on the ice. Catching the Senators at the right time spells a live dog, so I'll go with New York.
