New York has somewhat recovered from a long losing streak, winning two of its last three games, and Detroit now is on a three-game losing streak of its own. They've allowed 18 goals its last three games, including a 7-3 trouncing by Colorado on Friday. The Islanders defeated New Jersey, 4-2, on Saturday for their first win in their new arena, and Andy Greene and Zach Parise scored the tying and go-ahead goals. New York looks to avenge a 4-3 overtime loss to the Red Wings on Dec. 4, and the Islanders have won seven of the last nine meetings. The Red Wings are 3-8 playing with at least three days rest and 11-42 their past 53 games following a loss by three or more goals. Despite New York's troubles this season, Ilya Sorokin still has a 2.49 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage. Take the Islanders.
