Not only will New York be without Bo Horvat, its leading scorer, but also its top goalie, Ilya Sorokin. Horvat remains out after suffering a lower-body injury against Anaheim on Dec. 11. The Islanders have lost three of four games since Horvat has been out. Sorokin is being rested. New Jersey is in the opposite position regarding its key injuries. Jack Hughes, Timo Meier, and Arseny Gritsyuk have all returned for the Devils. Hughes and Meier lead the Devils in goals with 11. Hughes has 21 points in 18 games.
