Carolina should not be such a high favorite dealing with so many key injuries. Out for the Hurricanes are defensive stalwarts Jaccob Slavin and Shayne Gostisbehere, along with winger Seth Jarvis, who is far and away their leading goal scorer with 19. Carolina is 2-4 in its last six games. The Hurricanes just lost to Pittsburgh, 5-1, on the road two days ago. Montreal made the postseason last year for the first time since their run to the 2021 Stanley Cup Final. The Canadiens have 48 points this season, just three points away from tying the Red Wings for having the best record in the Eastern Conference. They are for real. Montreal has been highly profitable as a road underdog this season at 11-3-5. The Canadiens would be 12-2 in their last 14 games if given 1.5 goals. Take the Canadiens on the puck line.
