Buffalo snapped a four-game skid with an impressive 3-1 win at Boston on Thursday as Devon Levi stopped 30 shots and J.J. Peterka and Tage Thompson scored in the second period. Thompson returned from a nine-game absence earlier in the week and the Sabres hope the combination of his being back in the lineup and the win over the Bruins will be a springboard for turing things around. Montreal lost 4-0 to Los Angeles and the Canadiens have lost six of their past 10 games. Levi is expected back in net for the Sabres with a 4-4-1 record.
