The Avalanche surprised the entire league with their fast start as they really played great hockey for the first four weeks of the season. During that run, they lost just one game, and a pair of shootout losses through their first 13 games. That has changed in a big way and the Avalanche are back to what most thought they'd be - a losing hockey team. The win total without OT or a shootout stands at just two in their last 13, so it opens the door for a live dog with Minnesota here who beat them last night 5-3. One more time as the Avalanche is 5-13 after allowing five goals or more. Minnesota gets them again.
