Look for the rested and desperate Panthers to win a low scoring game here. Florida is off a 3-2 home loss to the Sabres this past Friday. The two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Panthers have won the past two times following a defeat. They catch the Islanders off a 4-3 overtime road victory against the Blue Jackets last night. New York rallied from two goals down to pull out the victory. It is the Islanders' fourth win in a row with three coming in overtime. This is the second meeting this season between the two teams. Florida won, 4-1, at home on Dec. 7. David Rittich was a net for the Islanders in that game. The 33-year-old back-up is likely to be in net against the Panthers again today since since Ilya Sorokin was in goal yesterday against the Blue Jackets. Rittich last was in net on Feb. 2. The Islanders give up the third fewest goals. However, they are 22nd in scoring and 29th on the power play. Florida's defense ranks fifth in fewest shots on goal and is eighth in penalty killing.
