Florida at New Jersey

Both Florida and New Jersey are long shots to make the playoffs. The Panthers' 63 points places them slightly ahead of New Jersey, but still 12 points out of a wild card spot with 22 games left. Florida is more alive than New Jersey. The Devils seem to be accepting their non-playoff fate. They are 2-7 in their last nine games with five of those defeats occurring by more than one goal. The Panthers have the pride of being back-to-back Stanley Cup champions. They are in must-win territory. The price is cheap to back them. Florida came out of the Winter Olympic break with a 5-1 home win against Toronto. But following that Panthers have suffered consecutive one goal losses to the Islanders and Sabres. Sam Bennett has been hot for Florida with three goals and five points in these last three games. The Panthers have been good for three or more goals in eight of their last 11 games.
