Boston just concluded a historical regular season, but now the Bruins have to avoid what happened to Tampa Bay in 2018-19 when the Lightning had the same type of year and then got swept by Columbus in the first round. Teams that enter the postseason on a hot streak are the most dangerous and Florida won six of its last eight to eke into the playoffs and the Panthers have a hot goaltender in Alex Lyon, who was their savior down the stretch. Lyon finished the season with a 9-4-2 record and 2.89 goals-against average and .914 save percentage and the Panthers won six of his last eight starts. The teams split four meetings in 2022-23, but Florida won the latest meeting 4-3 in overtime on Jan. 28.
