Florida at Atlanta

The Atlanta Thrashers remind me of the Golden State Warriors in the NBA. They play wrecklessly on the offensive end, often paying for it on the other end. The Thrashers have allowed four goals or more 11 times already this season. The Panthers have not done much on the road this season this far, but overall have played better hockey recently, averaging 3.4 goals per game over their last five. In division games this season, the Panthers are getting 4.5 per game. With Atlanta allowing 3.7 per game on the season (4.2 vs. division opponents), Florida should be able to score here. And, they catch the Thrashers in a real bad situational position here. Atlanta is 27-55 after allowing 5 or more goals in their last game. That's not exactly a position you'd want to be in and back the home favorite. I like the road team here.
