Edmonton at Ottawa

Enough is enough. The Oilers are off to a slow start for the third consecutive season. No worries, though. They're playing Ottawa and not the Panthers in the Stanley Cup. Look for Edmonton to end a three-game losing streak with a victory here. The Oilers' 28th-ranked offense should get right against an Ottawa defense that rates last, along with San Jose, giving up five goals per game. The Senators have a minus-10 goal differential, the third worst in the league. Since upsetting the Lightning in their opening game, the Senators are 1-4. Ottawa made the playoffs for the first time in eight years last spring, but there has been no carryover. The loss of Brady Tkachuk (thumb) hasn't helped. With superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, Edmonton's attack is too good to stay down this long. McDavid has recorded at least one point in 26 of his last 27 appearances with the Oilers as favorites. Edmonton has defeated Ottawa in eight of the previous 10 meetings, including five of the past six. Ottawa can't match Edmonton's stars. Take the Oilers.
