Edmonton at Los Angeles

The Kings went into the Olympic break having lost four in a row, outscored 14-7 in the last three of those defeats. Los Angeles (-182) had a golden opportunity to end its losing streak when hosting the depleted Golden Knights last night, yet they lost to a Las Vegas team that was without five Olympians, who played in this past Sunday’s gold medal game. Among those Las Vegas players missing Wednesday's game were Mark Stone, Mitch Marner, and Jack Eichel. The Kings certainly can't be trusted here against the Oilers, the team that has eliminated Los Angeles in the opening round of the playoffs in each of the last four seasons. Edmonton has the No. 1 power play in the NHL and ranks fourth in scoring, averaging 3.4 goals a game. The Kings are 30th in scoring at 2.5 goals per game and rank 28th on the power play. Their defense hasn't been good lately either. Take the Oilers.
