WIN

No team has been more consistent over the last decade than the Detroit Red Wings, especially when it comes to home ice. The Oilers are shell-shocked coming into this one as they have failed to record a win in each of their last four, surrendering the decision in overtime or a shootout in three of the four. One problem is their woes on the offensive end have seen them score a total of just 9 goals in the last five games, not topping the 2-goal mark in any of them. Detroit is certainly capable of putting pressure on the Oilers' offense with their own offense, which has netted 4 goals or more in five games already this season. The Oilers have an elongated history of road struggles, as they are a pathetic 30-81 in their last 111 on opponents' ice. Look for the Red Wings' home dominance to continue here where they are 38-15 in their last 53. Detroit gets the call. Also take the UNDER. Edmonton has averaged just 1.8 goals per game over their last five and will struggle again to score in this one. For his part, Devan Dubnyk has put up a nice 92.3% save rate and Detroit is 24-13 to the UNDER at home vs. goalies saving over 91% the past two seasons. Edmonton is 30-19 UNDER on the road over that same span when coming off a loss including 14-5 UNDER if the loss was a close hard-fought one by one goal. Take Detroit and the UNDER here.
