I love what Edmonton, a #8 seed, had done so far in the playoffs entering this series. They upset Detroit and handled Anaheim in easy fashion. They were not playing like a #8 seed. The main reason in my mind was the recently acquired Dwayne Roloson. Without him, I think they have a very tough road to hoe. Tonight on the road, off a demoralizing game one loss, I think they lose. Their defense has to take a hit here without Rolo and that was really their edge. If they return to an average defensive team, they are going to give up 4 or 5 goals to the high-powered Hurricanes and they are unlikely to score enough to keep up with that. Carolina is scoring a lot and they are 34-16 this season off two straight games scoring 3+ goals. They are also 11-2 at home after having won 3 of their last 4 games and 13-1 at home off a high-scoring home game in which both teams scored 3+ goals. Hurricanes here.
