Detroit at Dallas

The urgency is ramping up for Detroit, which is trying to prevent a late-season swoon for the third straight year. The Red Wings are desperately wanting to make the playoffs for the first time in a decade, and they need to start winning immediately. Fortunately, John Gibson is expected to start, and he is 24-15-2 with a 2.57 goals-against average with four shutouts. He has been especially efficient on the road, where he is 13-7-0 with a sparkling 2.01 GAA and a .932 save percentage. All four of his shutouts have been away from home this season. Detroit has gone UNDER eight of 11 overall and six of eight on the road. Dallas has stayed UNDER four in five of its Saturday games. Detroit won the last meeting 4-3 in overtime on Dec. 23.
