Dallas at Nashville

I had Minnesota in Nashville's opener on Thursday, and the Wild's 3-1 win left the Predators with one goal. Dallas was shut out 4-0 by St. Louis on Friday and plays again tonight. Last season, Dallas played 12 games on the second night of a back-to-back. Those games averaged 5.25 total goals against 6.16 across the full schedule, and nine of the 12 finished at or below the posted total. Casey DeSmith is the expected starter. He started nine of those 12 games last season and posted a .907 save percentage over 28 starts overall. Nashville scored 247 goals last season, 21st in the league, and it lost Luke Evangelista and Erik Haula, who combined for 94 points.
