Colorado at Vegas

The NHL may have done what no team in the league has been able to do this season: halt Colorado's momentum. The Avalanche is on pace to have the best record in NHL history. They have won six in a row. Colorado, however, has been idle for the past three days due to the NHL's mandated holiday break. That is the longest the Avalanche has been off since the first week of November. Las Vegas entered Christmas break on a high note, ending a three-game losing skid with a 7-2 home win against the Sharks. Mitch Marner has been hot for Vegas with nine points in his past five games. The Golden Knights have scored three or more goals in 10 of their last 11 games. Colorado scored only one goal in its previous game, a 1-0 win against Utah this past Tuesday. Vegas has not been this big of a home underdog all season. Take the Golden Knights.
