Colorado had lost four of five before winning its last two games against Calgary and Los Angeles without allowing a goal. Darcy Kuemper had 23 saves while shutting out the Kings on Tuesday and improved his record to 29-8-1-1 with a 2.41 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage (five shutouts) this season. San Jose has lost two in a row and five of seven after a 3-0 defeat versus the Kings on Thursday, and now the Sharks play a back-to-back. James Reimer was in net for San Jose last night, so Zach Sawchenko is probable tonight. He has a 3.12 GAA in six appearances with a 1-1-1 record. Colorado won the only meeting this season by a 6-2 score in November, and the Avalanche have won eight of the last 10 meetings. They are also 50-11 in their last 61 games against teams with losing records. The Sharks are 2-10 as home underdogs. Back the Avalanche for a Max Play.
