WIN

The Minnesota Wild have had a nightmarish time trying to get something going on the road, but at home they have been a different team all together. The 2-9-2 team turns into a 6-3-1 team at home, so there is a dramatic difference in this team on home ice. The Avalanche shocked everyone by coming out to open the season with just one loss in their first 13 games, and a pair of shootout defeats, but their fortunes have changed since. They have just three wins and a shootout win to show for their last 12 games. The defense and net-minding which carried them early has disappeared and has become a liability. The Avalanche have allowed 40 goals in the last nine games, which is 4.44 per contest, and your not going to put too many in the win column like that. I'll go with Minnesota here.
