Colorado at Chicago

Colorado comes off a 4-2 win over Anaheim and now has won six of its last seven games while getting great goaltending from Darcy Kuemper, who has won his last five starts to improve to 14-5-0-0 with a 2.73 goals-against average on the season. Logan O'Connor scored the tiebreaking goal with 1:11 left, and Mikko Rantanen had a goal and two assists against the Ducks while Kuemper stopped 29 shots. Chicago got off to a horrible start this season and then somewhat was headed back to respectability, but now the Blackhawks are struggling again while losing four in a row following Sunday's 5-1 defeat against Calgary. Marc-Andre Fleury returned from COVID protocol, but he still is only 9-10-1-0 with a 2.86 GAA. Colorado won the first meeting, 4-2, in October, and the Avalanche have won six of the last eight meetings. They are also 40-12 versus teams with losing records. Take the Avalanche.
