Minnesota's scoring and aggressiveness have gone way up since star defenseman Quinn Hughes was acquired. The OVER has cashed in 17 of 21 games since Hughes joined the Wild from Vancouver. The Wild are on a huge 14-1 run to the OVER, including going OVER in each of their last eight games. Minnesota has produced three or more goals in 12 of its last 15 games. The Wild have become such a huge OVER team because their defense and goaltending have slipped. Minnesota is surrendering an average of 4.1 goals per game in its last eight matchups. Chicago last allowed Florida to score four goals in the third period, in a 5-1 home loss this past Sunday. The Blackhawks, however, are riding a season-high four-game road win streak. It’s Chicago’s longest road winning streak since Feb. 4-17, 2021. The Blackhawks are averaging 3.5 goals a game during their four-game away win streak. Minnesota defeated Chicago, 4-3, on the road in the first meeting this season on Nov. 26. The Blackhawks have allowed the Wild to score four goals against them in each of the last three meetings.
