Carolina at Washington

Washington just completed a gentleman's sweep against Montreal while allowing more than two goals just once in the five games. Logan Thompson had a 2.23 goals-against average in the series even though he allowed five in Game 3. He was stellar the rest of the series after finishing 31-6-6 with a 2.49 GAA in the regular season. The Capitals have won 11 of 13 home games and Carolina has lost seven of eight on the road. The Hurricanes are under .500 on the road this season winning only 17 of 43. The Capitals have won five straight playing with at least three days rest.
