Carolina at St. Louis

It's the second of a back-to-back road spot for Carolina, after losing 4-3 at Detroit last night in overtime as a -150 favorite. That came one game after a 3-2 win over Seattle as -295 chalk, trailing 2-1 in the third, making this their third game in four nights. Carolina is 6-7 over the last 13 games, losing five times as a favorite and two wins by one goal. Goaltending injuries and inconsistencies remain a concern for the Canes. St. Louis is home, working on two days of rest. The Blues are 5-3 in their last eight home contests, winning three times as an underdog, along with close losses to the Rangers (2-1) and Buffalo (4-2). This is an excellent situational spot for the home team to pull the upset or at least keep it close. Play St. Louis on the puckline.
