Carolina has clinched a playoff spot, and now the Hurricanes will try and stay ahead of the Rangers, who are just two points behind them in the Metropolitan Division. Andersen is 34-13-2-1 with a 2.07 goals-against average with four shutouts this season. Carolina is seeking revenge for a 2-0 loss to New York on March 20 after beating the Rangers the four previous times. The Hurricanes are 20-6 when playing with one day of rest and 51-19 in their last 70 games after allowing two or fewer goals in their previous game.
