Carolina at Calgary

The fear of every team in every professional sport is getting off to a slow start. The Carolina Hurricane have lived through that nightmare through their first five games that has left them at 0-3-2. They have been knocking on the door with a pair of shootout losses in their last three contests, but have yet to break through. Tonight they face a Calgary team that has been walking a tight line between winning and losing, as the Flames' last three wins have seen two of them come in either overtime or a shootout. I think the good fortune, bad fortune for these teams has separated them with a line that is just too big here, so I give Carolina a good chance of breaking into the win column tonight. The Flames have been snuffed out when playing on a day of rest of late at just 1-5 in their last six. This one goes better for the Hurricanes, so play on Carolina.
