Carolina looks for payback for a 2-1 loss to the Bruins on Nov. 1. The Hurricanes have won five of seven, although they do come off a 4-3 overtime loss to Edmonton on Saturday, where they outshot the Oilers 36-23. Carolina has won six of eight against Eastern Conference opponents. It appears Brandon Bussi will start for the Hurricanes with a 4-1-0 mark and a 2.60 goals-against average. Bussi has gotten good support from his skaters on the offensive side, and he won his last appearance 5-4 over Toronto on Nov. 9. Boston has been one of the biggest surprises of the early season, and it has won eight of nine. However, the Bruins suffered a couple of key injuries to right wing Viktor Arvidsson and defenseman Charlie McAvoy against Montreal on Saturday. Take the Hurricanes.
