Calgary at Edmonton

Game of the Month - Calgary blew another lead on Friday, and this time the Flames couldn't recover as they lost 5-3, and Edmonton tied the series at 1-1. Jacob Markstrom had 35 saves for Calgary in a losing effort, but the Flames still are favored in this game, even on the road, as they have won three of the last four meetings, and they are 20-9 when playing with one day of rest (7-2 after allowing five or more goals their previous game). The Oilers are just 7-15 in their last 22 games as underdogs overall and 20-42 as home dogs. The Flames gave up too many scoring chances in Game 2, and Markstrom wasn't solely to blame. Calgary did kill five of six penalties, however. Edmonton goalie Mike Smith still is vulnerable as he was pulled in Game 1 after allowing three goals in the first six minutes.
