Detroit has a slight winning record, but has allowed more goals than it has scored and the Red Wings are 7-15 in their last 22 vs. the Western Conference. Calgary comes to town with a Top 10 power play and not playing as badly as the record suggests, and are off a 3-2 OT loss to the red-hot Blackhawks. In fact, three of their five losses have been by one goal and the Flames are 4-1 in their last five games when playing on two days rest. Calgary took a 2-1 lead over Chicago on Jay Bouwmeester's goal with 35 seconds left Saturday before the Blackhawks tied it with 2.3 seconds to go, then handed the Flames at 3-2 shootout loss. Calgary had a season-high 47 shots, including 24 in its two-goal third period, and limited the Blackhawks to six shots in each period of regulation. Detroit continues to struggle on the power play and will be without defenseman Brendan Smith for two to four weeks due to a sprained shoulder. Go with Calgary.
