Calgary looks to close out the series after taking a 3-2 lead on Wednesday night when Jacob Markstrom had 30 saves and Andrew Mangiapane scored the go-ahead goal with 9:22 left as the Flames won 3-1. Calgary is 16-5 in its last 21 games versus a team that scored two or fewer goals in its previous game and 8-3 after giving up two or fewer scores. Also, the Flames are 19-8 when playing with one day of rest, and they have won 18 of 25 as road favorites while Dallas has lost seven of 10 as an underdog. Calgary was sixth in the NHL in scoring this season with 291 goals, and their +85 goal differential was second in the league. The Flames average 3.46 goals per game, compared to 2.77 for the Stars, who allow 2.92. Calgary scored all three of their Game 5 goals in the third period while finally getting something past Jake Oettinger, and it will carry that momentum into Game 6.
