Calgary got a much-needed win on Monday when it defeated Los Angeles 3-2 to snap a three-game losing streak and now the Flames get another opportunity against the sinking Ducks, who have lost 12 of their past 13 games and come off a 6-1 loss to Edmonton on Sunday. John Gibson suffered another bad performance in net as he allowed six goals on 46 shots, but he's not getting much help as Anaheim has scored more than three goals once in its last 10 games. Calgary has won five of the last six meetings and the Flames are 17-6 against teams with losing records and 21-9 their past 30 games overall. The Ducks are 15-41 as home underdogs and 20-41 their past 61 home games. Jacob Markstrom is having a stellar season for Calgary with a 2.19 goals-against average and .824 save percentage and nine shutouts. Division games have been high scoring for both of these teams. Calgary has allowed an uncharacteristic 3.0 goals per game in division tilts and Anaheim division games have averaged 7.3 goals per game. Over their last five games, Calgary games have averaged 7.4 goals.
