Buffalo at Vegas

Rebuilding Buffalo overachieved for parts of last season, especially at home. The growing pains are evident again this season, ranked #22 in goals scored, #24 on the power play, and #25 in goals allowed. The Sabres are in last place and wind up a four-game Western trip here. This will be their fifth road game in seven contests. Buffalo is on a 47-113 run on the road, plus 29-71 against winning teams. You might think expansion Vegas would be struggling but they're not at 4-1. The front office smartly made excellent moves deciding to build the team around defense first, including veteran goalie Marc Andre-Fleury.
