Buffalo at Philadelphia

Buffalo is hot, winning its past two games in impressive style. The Sabres ended Minnesota's seven-game win streak this past Saturday with a 3-2 shootout victory as a $1.22 road underdog. Buffalo followed that up by soundly beating Winnipeg, 5-1, as a short home favorite on Monday. Now the Sabres open a six-game road trip, which will be their longest since 2012. They have the momentum to start their road swing with a victory. The Flyers just returned from four straight away games and were promptly thumped at home by the Penguins, 5-1, two days ago as a $1.25 favorite. Philadelphia has permitted three or more goals in seven of its last nine games. That's a problem. The Flyers average 2.8 goals per game, which ranks 26th. They are 29th in shots on goal and below average in winning face-offs and on the power play. Take the Sabres.
