LOSS

This looks like an offensive show in Boston! Buffalo is in town with a mediocre defense, #15 in goals allowed, #16 in penalty killing. The offense is playing better with Ryan O'Reilly and star rookie Jack Eichel. O'Reilly has seven assists in his last 11 games, while Eichel has 16 goals and scored twice in a 3-2 win in Ottawa. Eichel also had two goals and two assists in a 6-3 victory against the Bruins on December 26, in a homecoming for the former Boston University star and No. 2 overall draft pick. But the Buffalo defense faces the third ranked offense in the NHL and second on the power play here. The Boston defense, however, has been short of depth all season and is #20 in goals allowed. The Bruins blew a two-goal lead in their return from the All-Star break Tuesday, a 4-3 overtime defeat to Toronto. Brad Marchand is on a hot streak and his 14 goals against the Sabres are his most versus any opponent. The OVER is 16-6-10 when these teams clash, including 8-2-5 OVER in Boston. Play Buffalo/Boston OVER the total.
