Boston is playing just its second game of the season after beating Dallas 3-1 on Saturday when Brad Marchand scored on a first-period goal and into an empty net. Jeremy Swayman had 27 saves in the win. Philadelphia has scored 10 goals in its two games, but one was against the expansion Seattle Kraken. Swayman was 7-3 in 2020-21 and appears to be the goaltender of the future for Boston, with Tuukka Rask's status up in the air. The Bruins have won six of the last eight meetings, including four of five in Philadelphia, and they are 11-5 their past 16 games with at least three days rest.
