Atlanta at St. Louis

The Atlanta Thrashers won their opener over Tampa Bay. They will face the St. Louis Blues who, at 2-0, with impressive wins at home and away against the always tough Red Wings, so they certainly have to be a confident bunch coming into this one. The Thrashers have been a very poor team against a hot offense as they are now 33-70-9 against a team that scored five or more goals in their last game. The Blues have been tough to beat when they are expected to win as they have amassed a 10-2 mark in their last 12 as a favorite, going back to last season. The Blues closed strong at home last year winning their last five, and eight of their last 10, and after a home win over the Red Wings, they are poised to win this one, so I'm going with the Blues here.
