Anaheim at Colorado

Things could not have gotten off to a better start in Colorado as the Avalanche have opened the season at 8-1-1. They opened the season 4-0 at home, and are coming back to Colorado off a six-game road trip. This team has allowed four goals or more in just one game and the steady effort between the pipes and the nack end of the ice has kept them in the win column on most nights. That should continue tonight at home vs. an Anaheim team that has scored just a single goal in three straight contests. The Ducks' defense, however, keeps them in games. Anaheim has shutdown almost every opponent through 11 games that has also seen nine of those opponents score two times or less. It certainly looks like goals will be hard to come by in this one.
