Anaheim at Carolina

Less than a month ago, the Ducks were 19-10-1 and led the Pacific Division by two points. But during their last 13 games, the Ducks are just 2-9-2 and have fallen out of a playoff spot. Anaheim has lost seven in a row, surrendering an average of five goals a game during this stretch. The oddsmaker certainly has taken notice. The last time the Ducks were this big of underdogs was against the Avalanche in Colorado on Nov. 11. This is an excellent get-right spot for the Ducks, given their desperation and history playing in Raleigh, N.C., against the Hurricanes. The Ducks are 12-5-2 all-time as the visitor against the Hurricanes, including 8-2-0 in their last 10. The Hurricanes pounded the Stars, 6-3, this past Tuesday. So their motivation may not be as high as Anaheim's. Carolina rookie goalie Brandon Bussi is a phenomenal 15-2-1. But he has coughed up 10 goals for a 3.37 GAA and .877 SV% in three January starts. Take the Ducks.
