Anaheim opened its season with a 4-1 win over Winnipeg, but then lost 2-1 to Minnesota on Friday in heartbreaking fashion as Marcus Foligno scored the winning goal with eight seconds left. Calgary lost its opener 5-2 to Edmonton when Connor McDavid scored three goals for the Oilers and Jacob Markstrom gave up four goals on 32 shots. Anthony Stolarz was in net for the Ducks and had 41 saves against the Wild and he could start again as John Gibson is questionable (lower body).
