Ottawa Senators vs Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg is third in the NHL in goals scored (3.57 goals per game), second in shooting percentage, and No. 1 on the power play. They've won 10 in a row and are on a 12-8-1 run OVER the total. Ottawa has lost four in a row, surrendering 19 goals and is on a 7-0 run OVER the total. Not having Josh Norris in the lineup has hurt this team, although he could return tonight. After struggling against the Sens for years, the Jets have taken over this series, winning five of the past six and 17 of 25. Winnipeg has taken three straight in Ottawa, outscoring the Senators 11-5 These teams played a 4-2 game won by Winnipeg when they met earlier this season in Winnipeg, and this total is too low. Winnipeg got back on track after snapping an eight-game win streak in a 2-0 loss to Philadelphia and the Jets rebounded to beat the New York Islanders 4-2 on Tuesday. Connor Hellebuyck had 35 saves and he is now 22-7-3 with a sparkling 2.19 goals-against average and .925 save percentage with two shutouts for the Jets, who have not allowed more than three goals in 33 consecutive games. The Jets have won 13 of 19 on the road this season and Ottawa has lost six of nine although the Senators did get a 6-2 victory over Montreal on Thursday. Joonas Korpisalo is probable for Ottawa with a 9-15-0 record and 3.63 GAA and Ottawa has lost five of six following a win and the Senators are have lost four in a row after allowing two or fewer goals their previous game. Ottawa has lost five of its past seven games, including 4-1 to Pittsburgh on Friday night and now the Senators have to play a back-to-back and Anton Forsberg is expected in net after Cam Talbot allowed four goals against the Penguins. Forsberg allowed seven goals his last start against Colorado last Saturday and he is 8-9-2 on the season with a 3.25 goals-against average. Winnipeg has won seven of 10 although the Jets will attempt to break a two-game losing streak after being defeated by Toronto 4-1 on Thursday night. Winnipeg won the first meeting 5-1 in December and it is 14-6 playing with one day of rest. Ottawa is 16-41 versus teams with .600 or higher winning percentages and 19-49 overall playing on no rest. The Senators have gone OVER four of seven and they have allowed 17 goals their past four games and with Forsberg it will be more of the same. Take the Jets and the OVER.
