New York Rangers vs Vegas Golden Knights

Vegas will be focused on this game after it suffered a rare home loss, 4-0, to the New York Islanders on Thursday night. Adin Hill stopped 17 of 20 shots but got no help on the offensive side. The Golden Knights outshot the Islanders 30-21 with nothing to show for it. Hill is expected back in the net with a 2.60 goals-against average this season. Igor Shesterkin is probable for New York. The Knights have gone UNDER five of six overall and nine of 11 at home. Vegas is 5-0 UNDER after losing by at least three goals and 5-1 UNDER at home versus teams with losing road records. The injuries keep piling up for Vegas, including Jack Eichel, who underwent surgery and is out indefinitely. The team also is without six other veterans, incuding three defensemen, center William Karlsson and goaltender Adin Hill. Logan Thompson will be in net for this game and he is 14-9-3. Igor Shesterkin is likely for New York with a 18-10-0 record and 2.79 GAA and a .904 save percentage. The Rangers are back on track following a four-game losing streak as they have won their past two games against Washington and Seattle. Blake Wheeler had two goals and Shesterkin had 29 saves against Seattle on Tuesday. Vegas is having the same trouble it had last season and that is injuries to some key players and the Golden Knights have lost five of their past six games, including 3-2 in overtime at New Jersey on Tuesday and that followed a 4-1 loss to the lowly Coyotes two days before. Adin Hill is likely in net tonight as the Knights would like to give Logan Thompson a break after some hard-luck losses. Hill lost his last start 3-2 to Detroit on Jan. 19.
