New York Rangers vs St. Louis Blues Betting Picks

New York has been a great road team this season, going 12-6, and the Rangers will likely feel more comfortable playing in St. Louis after losing four of five at Madison Square Garden. The Blues have lost seven of eight against the Metropolitan Division, and they are 2-12 after allowing two or fewer goals in their previous game, as the Blues come off a 1-0 win over Winnipeg. The Rangers are nearly an auto fade laying this high a price at home. They are most undeserving of being a home favorite in this price range, given their 1-8 record at Madison Square Garden. New York has been held to one goal or fewer in seven of their nine home games! The Rangers could also have issues focusing, as this is their first game back from a three-game road swing that concluded two days ago in Utah. The Rangers enter this matchup on a four-game losing streak. They are averaging only two goals per game in their last five games. St Louis is 4-4-2 on the road. The Blues endured a tough stretch without center Robert Thomas, but he is back now and the offense is showing more signs of life. After overtime losses to the Flyers and the Maple Leafs, the Blues got a confidence-building 2-1 road victory against the Islanders this past Saturday. I'm taking the Blues to grab another win. 

New York looks for payback for a 5-2 loss to the Blues on Nov. 25 in the only meeting this season. St. Louis comes off a 2-1 overtime loss at Dallas last night and it has lost four straight as a home unnderdog. The Rangers are 12-2 their past 14 games after a home loss by at least three goals as they look to bounce back from Saturday's 5-1 loss to Los Angeles. The Rangers have won 12 of 14 playing with no rest and will likely have Jonathan Quick in net after he stopped 11 of 11 shots against the Kings. He replaced Igor Shesterkin, who was chased after yielding five goals on 21 shots. Joel Hofer is probable for the Blues, who have lost six of seven home games. Take the Rangers.
