Vegas continues to lose as teams have learned how to prevent the Golden Knights from getting into the offensive zone and the Golden Knights have scored more than two goals just once their past five games, including Friday's 4-1 defeat against the New York Rangers. Now the Knights are up against the Islanders, who snapped a six-game skid with a 2-0 victory over Detroit last night with Ilya Sorokin stopping 23 shots and Anders Lee and Brock Nelson scoring goals for the Islanders, who defeated Vegas 5-2 in the first meeting in December as Semyon Varlamov got the win in net. Varlamov is likely again tonight and he has a current 2.80 goals-against average and .912 save percentage. Logan Thompson should be back for the Knights and they have lost five of his previous six starts although he hasn't gotten much help. Play the Islanders.
