It is safe again to back the Jets. Winnipeg ended its 11-game losing streak with a convincing, 5-1, home victory against the Kings this past Friday. Even during their horrendous losing streak, the Jets were not out of games with nine of the losses coming by one goal. The other two losses came by two goals one of which was an empty netter during the final two minutes. The Jets had leads in some of these games. They finally closed against the Kings, who have more points than the Devils. New Jersey has lost three in a row, outscored 16-2 in those losses. The Devils have lost four of their past five road games. They have been outscored, 21-5, during these last five away contests. New Jersey is averaging only 1.5 goals a game in its last 12 games. Elite goalie Connor Hellebuyck is projected to be in net for Winnipeg. Take the Jets on the puck line laying 1.5 goals.
