Colorado has lost four of five against Western Conference opponents, including 3-1 to Vancouver on Monday. Mackenzie Blackwood is confirmed to start for the Avalanche and he is 7-10-3 this season, 1-1-0 since being acquired by the Sharks earlier this month. Alexandar Georgiev was part of that trade and he is likely to start for San Jose tonight after splitting his two decisions with the Sharks so far. If Georgiev doesn't go, San Jose has called up their top goalie prospect, Yaroslav Askarov, to take the place of Vitek Vanecek, who was struck in the face with a puck his last appearance. Askarov has played two games and has a 1.96 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage. Either way we are getting good value with the home underdog. Take the Sharks.

Colorado at San Jose
The injury-riddled Colorado Avalanche finally got their first win 4-3 in overtime against Anaheim on Friday. They barely got the victory despite a 49-19 edge in shots and Troy Terry had scored with 12.6 seconds left in regulation to tie the score for the Ducks. Colorado goalie Alexandar Georgiev still has a scary 4.99 goals-against average and an .811 save percentage this season. San Jose has a good opportunity to get its first victory as the Sharks are back home following a three-game trip. San Jose could turn to Vitek Vanecek, who relieved Mackenzie Blackwood on Friday and made 15 saves. Vanecek is 3-1-0 in his career against the Avalanche. San Jose is getting huge value as the home underdog. Take the Sharks.
