Boston Bruins vs Nashville Predators Betting Picks

The Predators are returning home losers of three in a row, including a 3-2 road setback against the Blue Jackets in their last game this past Tuesday. This marks Nashville's fifth game in eight days. Boston is the more rested team. This is just its second game in five days. The Bruins have fared well at Bridgestone Arena, beating the Predators four of the past five times there. Boston is the superior team at 34-21-5. Nashville is 27-26-8. The Predators have scored only two goals during four of their last five games. They are breaking in new faces, having made three trades during the past couple of days. Nashville could be without its points leader, center Ryan O’Reilly. Nashville has an opportunity to finally get a win against Boston, which has been inconsistent this season. Goalie Jeremy Swayman is one of the reasons, as he has alternated good and bad performances that might be due to his signing a new contract just days before the season started. Swayman is 2-1-1 with a 3.59 goals-against average although he did stop 30 shots in a 2-1 overtime loss to Utah on Saturday. The Predators' struggles have been baffling, as they expected to win immedotaely with eight of their top 10 scorers returning, along with six of their top seven defensemen and their starting goalie. Boston is home and working on two days of rest after a 3-1 victory at home over Chicago. The Bruins return their two top goaltenders from last year's record-setting season and look like one of the top teams in the league again.
