Seattle Seahawks vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay barely pulled out a 16-13 win over the Rams on Sunday. Tom Brady threw a go-ahead 1-yard pass to Cade Otton with nine seconds left after he went 5 for 6 for 60 yards in 35 seconds. Brady finished 36 of 58 for 280 yards with no interceptions and the Bucs are hoping that momentum carries over to this game after snapping a three-game losing streak. Seattle has won four in a row as Pete Carroll continues to get the most out of QB Geno Smith, who threw for 275 yards against Arizona. However, the Buccaneers held the defending Super Bowl champions to only 206 total yards and Matthew Stafford threw for 165 yards. Seattle is 7-2 UNDER its past nine games after scoring at least 30 points its previous game and Tampa Bay is 14-3 UNDER versus NFC teams. The Bucs are 15-5-1 ATS after allowing fewer than 250 total yards their previous game. Take the Buccaneers and the UNDER.

The Seattle Seahawks are a bit overrated. While this team is 6-2 on the season there have to be concerns. Last week they beat lowly Atlanta by seven points but the Falcons gained 512 total yards, topping the Seahawks production on offense by 190 yards. They have also won a game vs. winless Cincinnati. The Bengals went for 206 more yards in the game than Seattle. Tampa Bay comes into this game at just 2-5 but Tampa Bay can move the ball and has topped the 350 passing yard mark in three of its last five games. The Seahawks' secondary has allowed 395+ passing yards in three games this season, so I think Tampa Bay can stay competitive. Take Tampa Bay.

The Seahawks are still alive in their fight for the inept NFC West Division Championship and associated playoff berth. They had better find some answers on defense if they hope to keep the dream alive. Through their first six games, this team was allowing just 17.8 points per game. But, they have subsequently gone in the tank trying to defend their opponents. In the last eight games Seattle is allowing a whopping 32 ppg. That sets up a rather low total here with a team that has been hit for over 30 points per game consistently. Tampa Bay has steadily improved on the offensive end as the season has progressed. This is a team that scored 30 or more in nine of 22 weeks going back though last season and the first six of this year. They have since hit 20+ in six of their last eight games. Seattle’s porous defense has led them to seven straight OVERs, and they are now 35-17-1 to the OVER in their last 53 as a road dog. Over the past two seasons, the Seahawks are 9-2 oVER vs. winning teams. I like this one to go OVER the total.
