Washington's offense has cooled off, down to #20 in the NFL in total yards. The Redskins have scored 20, 24 and 17 points their last three road contests. Washington is 50-31 UNDER the total on the road against teams with winning records. They are also 37-20 UNDER away against teams averaging seven passing yards or more per completion, as well as 38-20 UNDER on the road against teams averaging 24 points or more per contest. The public loves to bet New Orleans over the total because of QB Drew Brees, but this team has revamped the defense over the last two years and it's finally paying dividends. The Saints have allowed 17, 12, 10 and 10 points the last four games. During their seven game win streak they've allowed 17 or fewer points six times. The Saints are off a blowout win at Buffalo and the team is 8-3 UNDER when following a straight-up win of 14+ points. Play this one to finish UNDER.

Pro Picks
Washington at New Orleans
The Saints took a big hit in the offseason, losing not only several key players in "Bounty Gate," but also their head coach and their defensive coordinator. The Saints don't have too many concerns on offense, but the defense is another story. They finished No. 30 against the pass last year and for the second straight season, they intercepted just nine opponent’s passes. They fiinished out last season allowing 27 points per game in their last three. That negates a lot of the power of the offense, as Drew Brees has thrown 36 INTs over the same period. That will often times lead the Saints to a negative turnover ratio, making games closer than the stats may indicate they should be. The Saints' defensive leader, Jonathon Vilma, is suspended for the season. Their second-best tackler Jo-Lonn Dunbar is no longer here. Washington will finally have a QB to complement their running game in RG3. Robert Griffin is a threat with his arm and his legs, and can really throw the deep ball on the run. As a result, Pierre Garcon could have a big year. They can also move Santana Moss into the slot on three-wide situations. The porous secondary has been upgraded and the defense as a whole should benefit by an offense that can now keep them off the field. Washington is going to be better, and the Saints likely worse. With a line in this game that is reflective of last year, there's value on Washington here.
