The worst run football operation in the NFL looks to be the Redskins -- again! The Redskins are on a 1-4 ATS run, as well as 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games. Over the last two seasons, they are 10-22 ATS including 7-18 ATS when getting points. Former backup QB Kirk Cousins begins the year as the Redskins starter, and whether his pass protection holds up against an imposing Dolphins front that now includes mammoth defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is a major key to this matchup. It is unlikely and note that the Redskins are 13-6 UNDER the total in week one. The Redskins were 4-12 last season and are 2-7 when Cousins starts compared to 14-22 overall with Robert Griffin -- all of which means they don't have a QB. Griffin was sacked three times by the Lions last month as Washington's offensive line struggled. They don't have much of a defense, either. Washington's defense surrendered 46 touchdowns last year to match Chicago and Oakland for the league's worst total. Hopes are high for retooling Miami, strengthening the offensive line, and upgrading the wide receiver corps. Miami is 36-17 UNDER the total on the road and 6-2 UNDER in week one when the defenses are ahead of the offenses. Take Miami and the UNDER.

Pro Picks
Washington at Miami
The Skins have a bevy of capable quarterbacks. Mark Brunell once again won't see much action but the Redskins don't lose much going to Patrick Ramsey or even third stringer Tim Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck has impressed many in DC and rumors have it he is Gibbs' favorite at this point. Miami has its share of problems and Dave Wannstedt tends not to take the preseason too seriously, having lost more games than he has won. The skins should win this one fairly easily. Two units on Washington.
