Los Angeles Rams vs New York Jets Point Spread Picks

If there ever was a flat spot on the schedule, this would be it as Los Angeles is tied atop the NFC West with Seattle. The Rams have the Seahawks on deck next week, as well, and now have to stay interested in playing the 0-13 New York Jets. It's asking a lot for the Rams to cover a huge point spread in this situation, and the Jets actually have covered three of their last five games. Los Angeles defeated the Patriots 24-3 on Dec. 10, and Jared Goff was far from spectacular, but he did finish 16 of 25 for 137 yards with a touchdown and interception. Goff has 11 turnovers (7 interceptions, 4 fumbles lost) in the last six games. Rookie running back Cam Akers stole the show for the Rams running for 171 yards on 29 carries, but coach Sean McVay still says he will use three running backs in the offense. The Rams win this one, but look for the Jets to cover the huge number. Play the Jets for a Max Play.

The LA Rams and the NY Jets are not having the type of season they had hoped for as the Jets have stumbled to a 3-6 mark. One issue for the Rams is the offense, as Case Keenum just doesn't have the weapons. For his 23 career starts, his team has averaged 18.7 points per game, but an even worse 16.2 ppg this season over eight starts. Ryan Fitzpatrick has led the Jets to just 19.2 ppg, so neither side has shown the ability to sustain drives, and convert to points often enough to be successful. Keenum has started 16 times as an underdog and 62.5% of those have played UNDER the total. Fisher's teams own a mark of 21-11 to the UNDER when playing on the road with regular rest or less, and the Rams are also 76-53 to the UNDER in their last 129 when the line is three or less, either way. This one stays UNDER.
