Kansas City Chiefs vs Washington Commanders

Andy Reid never has been that excited about the preseason as he is 42-46 straight up and 39-45-4 ATS after last week's 19-14 loss to Chicago that went UNDER by six points. Patrick Mahomes played one series and went 6-for-7 for 60 yards and a touchdown. Shane Buechele was 12 of 19 for 99 yards with an interception. The other backups, Chad Henne and Dustin Crum, combined for 8 of 14 for 28 yards. Washington lost to Carolina 23-21 and Carson Wentz was 10 of 13 passing for 74 yards in his Commanders debut and rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. ran for 26 yards and a TD on six carries. Rookie Sam Howell was 9 of 16 for 145 yards and Taylor Heinicke was 4 of 9 for 21 yards with an interception for the Commanders. Kansas City has gone UNDER five of its last seven preseason games and Washington is 5-3 UNDER its past eight. The Chiefs are 3-5 ATS their past eight preseason games. Washington has been happy with Wentz's play in training camp and in Game One and he likely will get more snaps in this one. Kansas City is 1-7 ATS versus the NFC East in preseason.
